Daniel joins the OCA team with over 10 years of experience focused on G&G projects in the Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas industries. Dr. Engfer brings extensive international and domestic expertise to OCA, having worked on numerous projects in offshore Malaysia and Brazil, the Gulf of Mexico, and, more recently, the coastal waters of the U.S. Eastern Seaboard.
Over his recent career in G&G, he has held many roles, including lead geoscientist, quality control manager, client liaison, data processor, data acquisition specialist and geoscience technician.
Previously in his career, he operated as a software engineer on NASA contracts servicing the Hubble Space Telescope and other satellite missions. Dr. Engfer holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Texas at Dallas and he earned a second M.S. degree in geophysics from the University of Houston in 2017. He joins OCA as a Senior Consultant who will support our clients’ wind-farming surveys as project manager.
