Working in a JV with Anchor QEA, OCA completed a screening Ports Assessment for Humboldt County and Morro Bay lease areas.
Outcome
Investigation and research into proposed ports for floating wind project fabrication, assembly and transportation to offshore site.
Information gathered from both desk-based research and site visits.
Assessment of and reporting on the current state of a screened and selected port in respect to its capabilities, risks and opportunities, based on Offshore Wind Development Area, planned wind turbine types, planned transmission assets types and local stakeholder constraints.
Analysis included project or suppliers logistical demands, investigate various factors that may constrain those demands such as cargo storage, berthing, location, vessel restrictions, labor availability and on-site facilities.
How did OCA get this result?
OCA demonstrated offshore wind expertise, local port and market knowledge for investors and an appreciation of local stakeholder constraints.
