Over the last 8 months, OCA’s US team have been supporting the Vineyard Wind 1 project as Site Supervision Contractor (SSC). Working from Boston, MA and our office in Charleston, SC, we are leading and coordinating all site fabrication, quality assurance and inspection activities for the Monopile foundations.
On site in the factory, our partners @STEEL INSPECT are delivering quality control services during the production of foundations for the first large scale commercial offshore wind farm project in the US. Through this collaboration the Vineyard Wind 1 project is benefitting from a combination of local US experience from OCA and the local presence and expertise in quality control services from Steel Inspect’s team.
Our involvement supports building knowledge and capability in the US from European experience and demonstrates the collaboration between OCA and STEEL INSPECT. As the fabrication supply chain develops in the US, this will enable OCA’s team to continue supporting with local US staffing.
