As OCA’s senior consultant Ari’s 3-month secondment in Europe comes to an end, she tells us a little more about what she has experienced both in and out of work!
From a knowledge sharing perspective it has been great to spend time in the office in the Hague to learn more about the work that my colleagues are involved in. I also had the opportunity to renew my GWO training and carry out transition piece inspections at the fabrication site in Spain for the Vineyard Wind 01 project I have been working on in the US.
In addition, an exciting part of spending an extended period in Europe is the accessibility to other countries! This opportunity has allowed me to take some weekends to visit places both around the Netherlands and other countries. I have gotten to experience one of my favorite musicians perform in Amsterdam, visited Edinburgh and went skiing in the French Alps. Next up is witnessing some of Gaudi’s most famous works in Barcelona before I head home and then onto #IPF24 in New Orleans!!
