Aim
Following delivery of pre-FEED documents OCA acted as the Owners Engineer reviewing and providing comment and finally signing off on documents once they met the agreed requirements and standards.
Outcome
This review included the following documents;
EPCI Schedule, CAPEX Report, Onshore and Offshore Cable Route Design Report, Offshore Cable Procurement and Installation Strategy Report, Offshore Ground Conditions Desktop study, Basis of Design and Pre-FEED design for Electrical systems, including nearshore substation and interconnection into onshore substation.
Assisted in the development of RFP documentation for FEED design.
For a separate floating windfarm project OCA acted as the Owners Engineer to deliver Employers Requirements for floating offshore wind farm design for all assets, with particular focus on foundations/moorings and cables.
How did OCA get this result?
OCA ensured reporting was coherent and cross referenced with the CAPEX and project schedule, flagged numerous risks in cable routing and electrical design assumptions.
