An introduction to … John O’Malley, Lead Consultant

We would like to tell you a bit more about our recently promoted Lead Consultant John O’Malley.

Since joining our US team 1 year ago, John has been involved in multiple projects. On behalf of a client, he oversaw the load out of the first US-manufactured offshore export cable in South Carolina, he regularly reviews technical documentation for developers and is currently the Senior Onshore Project Engineer for the first commercial US wind farm. He has an in-depth knowledge of landfall, duct routing and overall substation operations and construction.

John joined OCA following 16 years of professional experience in offshore oil & gas and electric utilities. He is a US Coast Guard Chief Engineer and has previously worked offshore on deepwater oil vessels as well as for a large electric utility in New England, ensuring the stability of the grid and the safety of system workers.
