To support RWE in the safe and timely stabilisation of the most at‑risk array cable locations at Amrumbank West (ABW). The project aimed to provide robust mitigation to protect cable integrity for a minimum of 18 months, allowing time for permanent replacement planning, while maintaining generation availability and full compliance with German offshore regulatory requirements
Outcome
The campaign successfully delivered stabilisation at 36 high‑risk cable locations, executed within a compressed programme and under winter operating conditions. Clear governance, daily performance tracking and strong HSE leadership enabled safe 24/7 offshore operations with effective coordination between RWE, contractors and site operations. Lessons identified during project close‑out were formally captured and embedded to directly inform future rock berm and stabilisation campaigns.
How did OCA get this result?
OCA provided integrated project management and offshore execution oversight to the RWE project team. Using structured planning, DPR‑based performance tracking and proactive risk management, OCA supported contractor coordination, safety assurance and schedule control throughout mobilisation and execution. Insights from previous Lessons Learnt were actively applied to strengthen HSE resourcing, survey efficiency, procurement alignment and vessel strategy—aligning delivery with OCA’s core vision of safe, well‑governed and efficient offshore projects.
